“Alive” Contest Winners!
February 13th, 2009 | This was far and away our best contest yet and you guys created a bunch of amazing Flips. Everyone was really creative and that resulted in a wide range of interpretations to the theme “Alive”. The bad parts was that it was a really tough contest to judge. In the end we had to pick three winners, but we could have easily picked a lot more. Still, the three Flips that did win really stood out. So with out further ado, here they are!

Whoah! I’m really honored!
I knew my idea has a glitter but I didn’t fully expect to be at first place! Thank you everyone who believed in me! Juan, Hakan and especially Canhür, thank you all!
I was still working with UC-Logic LaPazz WP5540 A6 Graphic Tablet (and I mean it!),. And before announcement I didn’t want to tell but now, there is no objection. So, everybody must know that, that wacom means much to me.
From this day, I’ll continue to create my works with my wacom. It’s like a valentine’s day present.

Congratulations Ertac! You deserve it. It was a tough decision, but your Flips was great. Very clever. Enjoy the Wacom. We’re very happy to get some great tools into the hands of great artists like those we have on Flipshake. Congrats again and enjoy your prize.

i really think there were flips that were a lot better than these.With more artistic value and much better executed. Dont get me wrong, im not mad because I didnt win, im mad because i have a good criteria for art, i am an art student after all, and i saw stuff that was much nicer.

As it said in the criteria for the winning flips, the picks would be based on a handfull of different factors. And after all, it’s up to the admins to pick the winners. If they like the flip, they like the flip. We all got different taste to art. And You proved that fact Yourself now by saying You saw other flips that You think were better suited to win. :)

I just got my Cintiq and what is this; it’s just beyond any imagination!!! I’m shocked, it’s banging!
Thank you guys, thank you Jorge and thank you Luis and thank you all Flipshake team for choosing me for first place. I’m really so happy to be here and I’ll never forget your great support.
